Proud As A Peacock!

Isaiah had a sheep shearing job today and of course I went along. It is actually interesting to watch! But I course was taking photos which you will see the shearing photos at Isaiah’s blog! The place today we went had peacocks and let me tell ya… they are a really awesome animal!

I had a hard time getting good shots because they are shy. The owner told me if they don’t know you or recognize you they will go crazy trying to get away from you! BUT! I was sneaky! lol! there was an open window that I was able to stick my camera thru to get some shots of them! :D   which was like completely awesome! but then again… they did not stand still hardly at all so it was tricky to get some good shots even with my awesome sneaky moves! :P

They were only yearlings so their tail feathers haven’t come in like the magnificent peacock tails that we all love but they are still really beautiful! I wouldn’t mind having a couple of these when we have our own place because they are just down right cool! :)

Beach Day!

Today was a fabulous day! absolutely fabulous! The amazing Katrina and I went down to the beach at the Long Island Sound. It was a gorgeous day for it too! Sunny and hot! just how I like it!
It was so fun; Katrina and I with fresh pineapple, honey roasted peanuts, tanning, ocean air and laughs! I even made a seashell wall around my towel! :D

I’ve come to the conclusion… I was made to be at the beach. I LOVE IT! I want to live on the beach. It is just so incredible to see miles of nothing but sky and ocean! ♥ there is nothing like it!
It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been to the beach and I will not ever wait that long again! the beach should be visited like once a week… altho I could handle going everyday! Yes, I am a beach babe! ;)

Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter Review

So I really really love coconut. coconut anything really. And the best place to get your coconut fill is Tropical Traditions. Now I just gotta praise Tropical Traditions because they are just awesome. Like no joke amazing!

Their products are such great quality, they have awesome deals all the time, you have so many options of things to get but their service is way better. I ordered 2 of their 32oz jars of Virgin Coconut Oil Gold Label. When I got them through the mail, one of my jars was completely broken up! First time that had ever happened and I was sorely disappointed bc the other jar was for Michael. So I emailed TT and they are now sending me a replacement, no charge, even tho it wasn’t their fault! They are just that awesome.

I really enjoyed it, Isaiah thought it was interesting. It has a really good balance of coconut and peanut butter and they are such a great mix together! I really like it on 12 grain bread as a snack during the day. I also felt more energized after I ate the CPB, and this stuff is so much better than 5hr Energy! Plus it just tastes so good! The best part is the CPB is only 32 calories per serving and for someone watching their calories (like me) this is wonderful because its filling and low

I added the CPB to my chocolate chip cookies! mmmmm! so here is my special recipe for those amazing cookies!

3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup coconut peanut butter
1 large egg
2 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour*
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1/4 cup coconut flakes
1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)>
Directions:
Heat oven to 375°F.
In large bowl, beat sugars, butter, vanilla, coconut peanut butter and egg with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
